What is Psychological Assessment
The purpose of psychological assessment is to essentially take a snapshot of where you are now in your emotional steady state. There are many evaluations that are used for assessment, and we will put together an individual series of tests that are customized for you. Do not be concerned about the word “test.” These are not tests that have right or wrong answers or that will be used to judge your worth. They are simply measures that provide us the information we need to help you.
Assessments are often used to identify a diagnosis for a new client. They provide a starting point from which we can determine the best course of treatment. Assessment tests are also vital for helping children and adolescents who are having difficulties with school, peer relationships, learning difficulties and behavior issues. Bolstering weaknesses in their academic or social behaviors at an early age can have profound positive results in their lives as they develop into adults.
